Obtaining your Criminal History in Illinois


RecordGone.com has posted a useful article about how to obtain your criminal record in the State of Illinois. This article is a great source of information for people who are unsure about what is on their record or want to evaluate their record to see if anything is eligible for expungement.

The article explains what Illinois state law gives you the right to see your record and how to go about it. Criminal Records in Illinois are managed by the Illinois State Police, which provides a specific form for requesting criminal records.  There are two forms to chose from: the Non-Fingerprint Request Form (ISP6-405B), and the Fingerprint Request Form (ISP6-404B).
